Privacy Notice
How the Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce handles personal information collected through this website. Last updated 2026-05-21.
This notice explains what personal information the Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce (the “Chamber”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit buckeyevalleychamber.org, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The Chamber is a non-profit business association registered as Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce, EIN 86-0198944, with offices at 508 E. Monroe Ave., Buckeye, AZ 85326.
What we collect
Information you send us directly. This website has no contact forms. If you email or call the Chamber using the address or phone number listed on the site, we have whatever information you choose to include in that message. That contact happens through your own email program or phone, not through this website. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, government IDs, or other sensitive identifiers, because we do not need them to do our job.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider Cloudflare receives standard request data, including your IP address, the page you requested, your browser type, and the referring page. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the site, defend against attacks, and produce aggregate, cookieless analytics for us. The site does not set first-party tracking cookies and does not load any advertising or analytics pixels.
Browser storage. The reading-settings toolbar in the bottom corner saves your text-size and contrast preferences to your browser's localStorage under the key bvcc-a11y. This stays on your device only. You can clear it through your browser's site-data settings at any time.
Information from members. If your business is a Chamber member, the directory entry on this site contains the contact details your business chose to publish: business name, address, phone, public email, website, category, and an optional short description and logo. We received that information from you when you enrolled or renewed.
Why we use it
- To respond to you. If you email or call the Chamber, we use what you send to reply to your inquiry.
- To run the site. Server and CDN logs let us keep the site online and secure.
- To remember your preferences. Accessibility settings persist locally on your device so you do not have to re-set them on every visit.
- To publish the member directory. The directory exists so that residents and visitors can find Chamber-member businesses. Listing in the directory is part of the membership benefit.
Who we share it with
- Cloudflare (hosting and cookieless web analytics, United States). Cloudflare processes request metadata as our service provider.
- CARTO (map tile delivery, Spain / United States). When the member map renders, your browser fetches tiles from
basemaps.cartocdn.com. CARTO receives the IP address making the request.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
- Email and phone inquiries: retained in the office mailbox for as long as the inquiry is open, then archived under standard email retention.
- Server and CDN logs: retained by Cloudflare under its own retention policy (typically days to weeks, depending on log type).
- Directory entries: kept while your business is a member in good standing; removed on request or on lapse of membership.
- Browser-stored accessibility preferences: stored on your device only, until you clear them.
Your choices
Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, a portable copy, or to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, email info@buckeyevalleychamber.org or write to us at the office address above. We respond within the window set by your state law (typically 45 days), and we will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Do Not Sell or Share, and GPC. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out request even though we have nothing currently to opt you out of.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience. We do not direct it at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS with modern TLS. We do not run our own database for visitor PII, and the site has no forms. Email and phone inquiries are stored only in the Chamber office mailbox. No system is perfectly secure, but we use standard safeguards appropriate to the scope and sensitivity of the data we handle.
Cross-border transfers
The site is hosted in the United States. If you visit from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on our service providers' own transfer safeguards where applicable.
Changes
We may update this notice. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page tells you when. For material changes, we will post a clear notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
