Welcome to Buckeye

A short introduction to the area for visitors, new residents, and anyone thinking about doing business here.

Buckeye sits 35 miles west of Phoenix, in the far western part of Maricopa County. It started as a farm town on the Hassayampa River in 1888 and stayed small for most of a century. Over the last twenty years it has grown quickly, and it is now one of the largest cities by land area in Arizona.

Growth has not erased the small-town feel. The Buckeye Equestrian Center still fills up for rodeos, longtime families still run shops in town, and the Chamber still does the same job it has since 1935: helping local businesses and the people around them find each other.

If you are looking for a contractor, planning a move, or just getting to know the area, the member directory and relocation guide on this site are a good place to start. The Chamber office can also help in person.
